Biesenrode on June 18, 2006

The weather was dreamy and the race was a real challenge. This track wasn't easy to ride, but it still worked out for me pretty well.
It's kind of unfortunate that some organizers have no idea about racing and that they've probably never sat on a mountain bike before in their lives. That would be the only way to explain the fact that the only seniors' division began at 30 years of age and that was that.

I hope some of the people read stuff like this and think about it a little.
Everything still managed to end pretty well for me.
Out of 145 riders in that division, I came in in 14th place.

The organizers in Großalmerode did a much better job.
A week after the race in Biesenrode, the weather was great again.
Here the last seniors' division was age 50 and up and so I came in in 2nd place, just like last year.
The best thing about this was of course that I was the only Pirate and that I was dressed completely in pink. It turned a few heads to say the least.
Everyone had to take a gander, but unfortunately, I think it was due to my sexy Pirate outfit and not me personally.
Starting today, I will start training hardcore for Bad Goisern. I hope to run into a team of Pirates there.

Even Pirates are tired sometimes, but with a little bit of the fighting spirit I made it into 6th place.
Next time the result will be better.
