was ....when we were thrown out of the bar :)
Our troupe had barely arrived in Plettenberg-Küntrop
for our parachuting class and we had already been kicked out
of the air field restaurant, because the owner had apparently
gotten out of bed on the wrong side.....
But we don't want to dwell on that at this point :)
Otherwise, it was a sensational, fabulous, super awesome,
phenomenal weekend with a dream team and great trainers!!!!!
Special thanks to Frank, Volker, Dirk, Mattin, as well as,
pilot Dirk and chute folder and US-Dutch David.
that's how it's done....Frank demonstrating a jump at the
beginning of the training.
Bonsai in the harness learning how to act in emergency situations
(see pic: non-opening of the main chute)
this position caused the bulging of the eyes, as well as,
the heightening of the level of my voice....
now things got serious.... the first volunteers (Rainer and
"Belozok"Hartmut) are led to the airplane.
Rainer seems to have enjoyed it... the guy carrying the helmet
is US-Dutch David, our QuickChuteFolder.
You're up Bonsai Björn!... I don't know if Björn
was debating whether to puke into the helmet or put it on
his head...
Here top trainer Volker takes a last look and prepared Bonsai-Mama
(Brigitte) and me for the jump.
this is the tiny...slippery piece of metal that we're supposed
to hop 4920ft/1500m...
but don't worry, they ALL made it down....some faster....some
slower :)
the party afterwards, for which we took over Stedebeker's
bride's home, was a complete success, despite brief resistence
by the in-laws (Thanks to Nosferatu van Ellen)!
The participants of the chute weekend have decided to plan
a second Chute-WE!
Till
then,
yours,
Ron
