of the year. In Gatow am See, I took the Olympic distance. After the always annoying swim, I got onto the bike track in 30th position. I was able to pass a few people and ended up in 13th place in the overall ranking after 2h and 15min.
Somehow I managed to catch a cold during the competition and had to take a longer break from training :-) .

From July 28-30, I was going to participate in the MTB relay in Zernin, but after my cold I just signed up for the marathon on Sunday. It was up to me to ride a challenging 8m/13km lap 7 times. Amongst a small number of starters, I was able fight my way into 2nd place of the day's licensed riders. The tour was won by Stefan Danowski, who came in ahead of Johannes Sickmüller.

Next, I'm getting ready for the MTB Marathon in Zierenberg and the Powerman-Duathlon in Austria. I will also be mixing my training up a little with 2 course competitions (3m/5km and 6m/10km).
