On Sunday August 7th 2005, in Kellenbach as always, it was all or nothing. It was the last day of league play, the day that would determine whether or not we would make it to the German Final, the day on which only two of us have time to play... wait a minute, WHAT?

..and that's what came to pass. We had to play with three replacement players that we borrowed from other teams. However, as we all know, fortune favors the brave, which is why we took a trophy that says "2nd place" home that night. Our participation in the final should be certain now. Eventhough Fortuna was with us that day, we had angered at least one god, the god of weather. Continuous drizzling rain fell on us in the morning. It soaked the ground and made the paint swell and so those that had forgotten their cleats at home got to kiss the grass a few times. Despite all that, it was a great day that ended with us winning 7 out of 10 games. Thanks to Marcus, Jens and Bimo for helping out.
