On Saturday Friedrichsbrunn in the East Harz was initially only supposed to be preload. But everything turned out differently. During the first lap I got a snakebite. My extra hose was flat just a little while later, so I rode 6m/10km until the lap was over with a flat front tire. When I got there I needed two more hoses until, after 15min of dawdling, I could finally ride on.h zwei weitere Schläuche bis ich endlich nach ca. 15 vertrödelten Minuten weiter fahren konnte.

I really had to cough up a lung while playing catch up, in order to win the race in the end. After that mission I really didn't have much hope for the National Association Championship marathon in Clausthal-Zellerfeld on Sunday.

However the events there unfolded surprisingly as well. Legs were good and when I found myself in the leading group 6m/10km before the finish line, I attacked on a steep ascent and managed to reach the finish 44sec before the guy in 2nd place and so became the champion of Lower Saxony.
