On 10/07/06, the 7th run of the GPBA took place within the framework of the Freestyle Show of MC Lübtheen

The highlight was the floodlit finale. There were 28 starters. There were 3 preliminaries. The 28 riders were divided into 2 groups. The first 4 bikers out of every group were directly qualified for the final.

This time the standard of the bikers was pretty high. Names like, Libor Podmol, Martin Koren, Oystein Kjorstad, Stefan Bengs, Kai Haase, Benjamin Hattendorff and Ingo Teichmann, to name a few. The two Czechs Libor Podmol and Martin Koren rode their new Masaii bikes, which were provided by the firm V-Toys, straight through to the final.

Rene Pascal Reich of the Hot Shot Monkeys was definitely jinxed that day. He won all of his preliminaries. He led the field until right before the end of the runs and then he was possessed by the Mistake Demon. The GPBA team gave him the wildcard for the floodlighted final.

Fifteen year old Kai Haase was the hero of the day on his suped up Minimx-Shop.de Honda. The only one who could keep up with him was Benjamin Hattendorf.

Special thanks to all bikers, helpers, V-Toys, MC Lübtheen, commentator Sven Schreiber, Pirate, Freestyle Inc., Photo Bruno, TX-Racing and everyone that I'm forgetting.
