at least the largest of the Canary Islands, Mallorca, belongs to the Pirates this March. At the beginning of March Sveny and Captain Klotz (Jörn) were the first to enter the northern side of the island! On March 13 Nina and her crew came to take over and this week Ubi Blutsventje and Terrace-Philipp are here on their "honeymoon". However they are on the south side of the island! Oh well, the island is - yeah!!!!

During the first few days we wanted to take some longer bike tours on nice, calm, flat ground! Of course that didn't work out with all that crazy wind sweeping across the island.

When the wind had kind of subsided, we started the obligatory coffee rides! One of the first goals was kind of hilly! Valdemossa!

Okay, after a few days our rooms weren't exactly spotless, even though we had decided to clean the joint at least every two days…! I think we stopped at the premise on that one!!

Not only were our rooms messy, but it was also kind of dirty, especially since the snad from the morning run would still be there in the evening…!! Also, the food during the first week really sucked!!!!!! Alright enough of the bitching for today… Next we rode a few laps on the banked track in Sineu! Respect for all track riders, we might have gotten over the 31mph/50km/h mark, but we did not average 31mph/50km/h or more!

The last slightly hilly tour took us to San Salvador! This time Bernd joined us! He is awesome! Bernd is in the line-up of the German handicapped cyclists and, among other things, 3rd in the German championship of time trials. He is "only " third, because his chain fell out during the trial!

On the last day, when Nina and her crew were already on their way, we relaxed at the pool and watched the others ride away…
