03/13/05, it is 8 o'clock in the morning and our ship "Air Berlin" brought us ashore safely. Our feet had barely touched solid ground before we were off again, towards the north, in order to relieve Sveny and Jörn on guard duty at our base camp in Alcudia .
Since the sun had already reached its highest point, we left for a little lap after setting up the training equipment...

The weather just kept improving from day to day - blue sky and 20°C/68°F gave us further motivation... and a craving for cafe con leche after biking, on the terrace of the now legendary "Playa de Muro".

As one can see we had nothing but the best of training conditions! At this time I would like to say thank you to Sonja Heubach (3rd place IM Lanzarote, 3rd place IM Zürich, 21st place IM Hawaii), who was a huge part in the successful realization of my basic training!

Oh yeah... and then came the "family reunion". The mile-guzzling reporters of the BSN rode over from Cala Ratjada for a collective ride towards Cap Formentor. And our own Martin wore the white leg warmers to go with his white glasses in order to celebrate the day.

Result: It doesn't always have to rain on Mallorca (14 days of sunshine ;-) )!

And white on white looks weird... (greetings to Martin)
