on Saturday a large number of Plettenberg Sauerland-Pirates were deployed for hardcore racing in Nordenau once again.
On the technically and scenically second best MTB track in the Sauerland (Plettenberg is no. 1, of course.), the "Young Pirate" Marc Johannes)accomplished a sensation.

In the Junior division Marc sailed directly into 2nd place in his age division in his second MTB season.
Just one minute later bsn-Pirate Stefan Zimmermann crossed the finish line, which put him in 14th place of the licensed cyclists.

Veterans 2, 22nd place, Hans-Peter Timm
Great - as usual - were Jens Martin's achievements on the 33m/57km distance, where he came in in 7th in the Veterans 1 division and Armin Elpel came in in 2nd in the Veterans 2 division.
Pirate-Stedebeker was out of luck. He had to drop out of the race after just a few miles due to back problems, but who cares, he going to get his next chance on Saturday in Wetter by the Ruhr.
