Saturday morning at 9 o' clock, the first Pirate Indoor Cycling
Training began in the Dortmund studio "Health city"......10
aspiring instructors from the blind apprentice to the Tomahawk
A-license instructor reported to take part in the schooling.
After the initial briefings into the different areas of the
Instructor Know How, my head was swimming and I wouldn't have
bet a cent on myself to pass the training.

...but we quickly got to the practical part on the bikes and
I wasn't the only one to realize that it wouldn't be just
our minds that would be getting a work out...
...afterwards there was more theory to process the practical
part and address further issues...
and finally… the exams came, almost as our salvation… first
the practical part, where some (and I count myself amongst
them) got surprisingly good results.
...then, the hardcore theory exam. It took a whole THREE QUARTERS
OF AN HOUR…. Fume….
but in the end, not only our instructor Matthias was happy
about the exceptionally good results, all the participants
were, because, after 20 hours of grueling work, we are now
able to call ourselves "Licensed Pirate Indoor Cycling Instructors".
