The weather god was totally on our side. Radiant sunshine, 57°F/14°C, a slight easterly wind. 19 riders found their way to Harry Kloss' automobile recycling yard in Osteinbek. Two 1.5 hour enduros were on our GPBA motto plan. This time some parts of the track seemed like an Enduro World Championship for Big Bikes. (Marco's version of the article about Easter Saturday.)
Before the beginning of the race a four hour free training was scheduled, which most of the riders did not take advantage of. Instead tjhey decided to inspect the whole thing on foot. After walking the track, many of the riders asked me if I was serious. My answer: YES!!!! It's all ridable. Grin.

Built in features: .3m/0,5km forest (drive time 8min LOL), 3 certified approaches and descents (many distraught expressions, big grin), 3 mini crossings Big Mountain (extremely soft soil, haha), junk yard with the entrance through a Renault Traffic (Warning: headache alert, outch), and then the normal MX track (to catch your breath on, laugh.

Lars Würdemann: Marco we're not at the world championship. Are you crazy???
At 2pm the troupes gathered; ready to fight.

They started the race in the wellknown MaHei mode. Sitting backwards, engine off, hands on their helmets. At the signal: departure.
The cingestion began during the first lap. Vitali Rabek, Stefan Varelmann, Patrick Marquardt, Lorenz Fleischmann were stuck in a jam on the approaches.

Patrick Marquardt had to fight with the approaches and descents in the beginning.

Jens Diekmann was chased in the forest by Benny Diephold.

Lars Würdemann shows everyone what's up in the forest on his MaHei X Sport.

Uwe Ladwig hated the trees the horizontal trees. Comment: I hate you Marco, grrrrr.

Some of the riders had trouble with flats. Quote: It's a damn pain in the ass trying to mount one of these things. I could puke. ( Atitht Neubert )

Towards the end of the first run, the rider's problems with endurance became apparent. Ulrich Varelmann of the team V-Toys #80: Dirt awesome, SuMo even more awesome.

Sascha Marwitz from the team Hot Shot Monkeys, drives his pimped Honda down the descent. At 3:30pm the first run was over. After a short break and a review of the ride, the second run began at 4:15pm. This time things went a bit differently. During the first run Benni Diephold couldn't seem to shake his bad luck, but in the second run, he showed us just how fast the V-Toys could be. (1st run result: flat in the back, broken tank)

Benni with a sweet skill jump. Georg Thomas of the team Pirate, MaHei had a head start of an entire lap after Benni's mishap in the first run. Unfortunately, Georg took a spill in the 2nd lap of the 2nd run and had to slow down.

Right before the time ran out at the end of the 2nd run, the track was nice and f...ed up! Dennis Drews battled with the track grooves in the area of Big Mountain.

At abround 6pm both runs were over and had been judged.
