my last race of the season took place last Sunday: I stood at the starting line on time at 9am at the Europapark Rust Marathon "Happy Halloween Special"...

In hazy late summer weather the race began with the first 240 vertical ft./73hm ascent "Silver Star". What followed was a hardcore, high-speed descent of 81mph/130km/h, centrifugal forces up to 4g… Awesome!!!

During the following "Trip Through Outer Space" Eurosat-Ascent, the organizer was able to count a total of 1920 bikers per hour coming down the hardcore ascent in the dark… and all that for a starter fee of 28,50 Euros in the Elite and Master divisions!!!

By the way, I also met the model for the Pirate Shades sunglasses, of course these glasses possess the common UV filter features (89/686/CEE)!!! Right???

Conclusion: great event with an extreme amount of participants, but there were yummy snacks and a surprise victor: "Marcel-Prince of Illusions", who teleported himself onto the winner's podium... or something....
