...the weather outlook for TH, May 25: 50%
chance of rain...
HAHAHA... the May edition of the bikeactivities-riding-technique-course
was upon us and so the weather forecast had to be wrong!
As is common, some of the participants got "wet feet"
around 10:30am and questioned whether or not we would go through
with it, because it was raining quite happily.
But: at exactly 11:02am the weather god appreciated our presence,
closed off his faucets and the course could take place as originally
planned!
Due to the fact that three people cancelled on us short-term,
the group was somewhat decimated, but that in no way minimized
our fun. We had another "repeat offender" among us
this time, who wanted to improve or at least show his new toy
what was up.
I started sweating a little right off the bat, because the boys
and the girl showed themselves quite proficient when it came
to the balancing unit, as well as crossing over a tree trunk
and a balance beam and we moved on to the next part of the course
pretty quickly.
...but the "little quarry" offers so many variations
for every possible level of proficiency, so thaht everyone reached
their personal limit at some point - my work was done, everyone
was done for, but also pleased with their new abilities!
In between things their were a few little additions to show
what else is ridable/jumpable with a bike, as well as some spontaneous
short visits by former participants and people from my old trialshow
team, the Stone-Räts, who were believed to be lost... what
an eventful day for all of us...
Lastly, I would like to briefly thank the man behind the lens:Alex
Ederer, also known from his time as one of the "Stone Räts",
grabbed my cheapo digital camera and created some memories...
a big fat merci and I'm sure we will be able to see more of
his work throughout the year!

Björn
