was on the schedule for Saturday March 31, as the last test run before the Metro Group Marathon in Düsseldorf.
The weather was good, the track was unknown and the time I was aiming for was under 1:40:00 … we shall see …

Before the run there was time for a little pick-me-up, since the start was pushed back half an hour …

Finally the time had come… just another 10 minutes till the start of the race… off to the starting line-up … … and first let's find the right block

Off we went… the track… without a lot of ascents or other obstacles … … final time 1:40:19 … just missed it… came out to 538th place overall and 150th in my age division (AK40) out of 2003 runners. So far so good. However, a couple long training units are needed for the marathon (time I want: 3:3x:xx)
