....that was the question we asked ourselves on June 29th.
Invited by RTL to take part in a gameshow that is currently being aired, 30 members of the Pirate team took up the battle against Götz Otto and his Pirate brood....

Our journey began on Thursday and we found some merry travelling companions waiting for us at the BAB-1 with supplies...

...soon afterwards the fraction from Sauerland with their Secretary of Education Dinkel-Pope (or something) showed up and dozed off....

driven by the provisions, the men stood at the slopes and pistes... (or something to that effect)

the local racing administration liked this so much that they met up with us and sent us on our way with some words of praise.....(and a € 25.- ticket)

encouraged by this experience, the crew peaked in performance at the hotel bar, which went to some of the participants' heads.... or had the Jäger gone bad ?!?!

The next morning our reinforcements from Cologne Pulli and Achim arrived just in time....

to make their way to the compound of horrors ....

to strike fear into the hearts of all tv-pirates....

We quickly shoved some rich refreshments from the RTL cantine down our throats.....

...but we had to realize, soon after the commencement of the battle, that this wouldn't be a cake walk.....

....unfortunately, every game has its end....

....and in the end, the bad guys have to walk the plank....

...and the good guys are rewarded with a beer....or two...

...and some real food!!

...after everything we dropped off tired members of our crew with their empty bottles and their flipflops at the side of the road.

oh well..... whoever is interested can watch this disaster on August 24th on RTL during primetime.
