The same procedure as every year....... how time flies. Already the time had come again for the triathlon folk to meet in the fine forest near Bruchsal (Thomas Hellriegel's hometown) for competition.
Since the short distance had already been fully booked by the beginning of March, I had to be st the start of the sprint distance in the early morning hours. So, I jumped right into my pink outfit...

...and my rubber suit and was off to the "warm" (63.5°F/17,5°C) Lake Heide. The good thing about the sprint distance is that it doesn't take long before you're back on land...

...I quickly rode the 12.4m/20km on my bike, 6.2m/10km of which were on even ground and then, pulled on my running shoes for the 2.1m/3,5km run to the finish line.

Then, it was over and I was glad - because it didn't turn out bad ;-) I came in 2nd in my age division (AK30).
