took place on March 25, 2007 for the 16th time and the organizers "IGAS Wendland" could write a new record in the books with 50 participants. The race went over 5 laps of 5m/8km with about 656 vertical ft/200hm.

Thomas and I were able to move to 2nd place in our age divisions during the first lap and put some distance between us and the rest of the field, which we worked on during the following laps.

Right before the end of the 3rd lap, I noticed a sneaky flat back tire and Thomas had to ride on alone in order to secure his second place in the Seniors 1 ranking.

After taking care of the problem, however, I kept going strong and was abel to come in 2nd in the Elite division right behind Fabian Brzezinski. Thorsten did not have such a good day and came in 6th in the Seniors 1 division.
All in all it was a successful start to the season of 2007.
