So it seems we're not alone in Jülich, at least during Carnival some Pirates show up to go marauding…

It all started on Carnival Monday. Marauding in Möhnewinkel, a district of Jülich! Timika, Sveny and Captain Klotz were there.

The weather was great and so we 3 Pirates headed out right on time! Then came the surprise: we weren't alone.

About half of the parade was pirates! There were some pretty good groups and floats here in our little "village"….

Our personal favorite was the guy, whose pirate crew had a real nifty ship with them.

The doll in the eagle's nest on the main mast seemed to deflate a little bit during the long tour!

Of course, my personal top Pirate girls were Sveny and Timika :

There was also some "competition", if one could say that… at least the mix between hedgehog and porcupine was pretty funny looking.

In 2008, we should invite the real team Pirates from all around Germany to walk in 2 or 3 of the parades! Right off the bat I can think of… Stedebeker, Ubi Blutsventje, Captain Ron and Gaby, Zimbo, etc., etc.… and, of course, all our triathlon Pirates!!!
