On July 21st 2007, the third event of the Rhine-Neckar Triathlon Cup took place in Ladenburg. A 1.1m/1,8km swim, a 26m/42km hilly bike and a 6.2m/10km run were on the program. After the informal meeting on the competition, my weary eye spied an ally…
Alex was there too!

Then we took a boat up the Neckar to start the swim in the water.

And since there was quite a current that day, the first part of the event was quickly taken care of… And here comes Alex… .

....whom I got to see almost solely from behind.....

I jumped into my shoes and onto my bike and was off towards the hills, where some nasty parts with an up to 16% incline were waiting for me.

Finally it was time for the run - two laps around the nearby park, where you kept coming towards each other. The finish line was in the Römer Stadium, after the last lap.

Result: it was a great event and organized well as always!
