in the middle of May!
Since I haven't written anything in quite a while and haven't participated in any races due to certain bike and health defects (I start up again on June 10), I thought I'd write about something else. The "something else" in this case being snow.

On Wednesday May 16th, we had about half an inch of snow. (I'm being generous in the calculation. I took a picture as proof and decorated the snow with a pair of Pirate gloves, in order to illustrate that Pirate apparel braves all the elements.:-)

Well, by now the snow has melted, but that doesn't mean that it couldn't happen again, since everything is possible at this altitude and which has had very negative effects on my long distance training this winter.
Another thing worth mentioning is that I ran across a Pink Pirate colleague in the Black Forest for the first time ever. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to take a picture, but maybe the a mount of Pirates in the Black Forest will begin to grow.
