White and damn cold is what it was! The Pirates will be boarding the Swiss mountains in the new year! Happy New Year!

The turn of the year in the Swiss mountains involved a lot of snow and it was fucking freezing at Sveny and Jörn's! So of course we hit the slopes, on the Hochstuckli to be exact, and we were off … On Friday before New Years the thermometer in the car readout 0°F/-18° on the way to the slopes …

First some warm ups with Uncle Jörn ;)

But in order to end the year with some athletic ambition, we also brought our running shoes and ran one or two training laps.

We're not talkin' easy either, since there was hardly a flat piece of land around, it was uphill and downhill constantly and the last rise, our "house mountain", had a maximum incline of 26%, that makes your pulse heighten automatically, no matter at what tempo …

Lilly is really getting that Pirate look in her eyes …

… and next time there will be no excuses, the whole "family-team" will be running. ;)
