Finally, it has warmed up and we can get out of those smelly gyms! Said and done: we went to the 2die4 Cup in Solms witha new team formation, so that we could get the new team accustomed to each other, have fun and get used to the great, wide (infinite?! oO ) outdoor fields in the open air again.

The weather was constantly changing, which made for a slightly damp climate, which turned the paint snears on the astro turf into the mother of all hydro planes.
Thanks to our rubber-soled shoes that wasn't really a problem when it came to running, but it caused us to cover great lengths when we had to slide. This wasn't always an advantage, like when we slid towards the border of the playing field. (If you go out of bounds you're out of the game...)

Overall the tournament gave us the realizations that we were seeking, concerning which direction our next practices should take and it showed us that happily our current equipment survived the first test drive well and without malfunctions.
Sometimes it worked too well, with his new gun Assi was able to pound his hopper, his 6 plus one of Steffen's (so about 1300 paintballs), across the field in 2 minutes flat.
Unfortunately the field was set up too openly, which lead to relatively static games. Our fast and aggressive forward movement was only slightly possible on the left side. After that it was time for some stationary "stop and shoot it out" maneuvering.
