The roofed wicker beach chairs were a little bit bigger, as
I remember?
On Saturday the 21.th about 1388 runners started at the 21.th
OLB Norderney City-Run
On the start were Mike Sonntag from the Team Pirate. The course
was really ambitious, you were running criss cross threu the
town of Norderney with some real stiify parts on the beach
boardwalk. Because of the huge number of participants and
the really narrow streets, it was not very easy to make pace
at the start or on the course. But in this run, it was only
for the experience, because youŽve to fight hard cross winds
and heavy rain.
But on the homestretch we had wind from behind, so we flew
into the finish, with standing ovations from the viewers and
supporter.
On the 10k run, the winner had a time of 33:20:20min and Mr.Sonntag
reached the finish with a time of 43:29:10min.
It was a great atmossphere at the contest und for sure IŽll
be here next year...
