Cologne Triathlon Weekend, sunday ... the CologneHalf (1,9-90-21)

My first middle distance triathlon at the Cologne triathlon weekend with 20degrees and sunshine. The transition area behind a fence…just for athletes First of all: building up your transition place...chaos early in the morning with too much bags. A quick look on the course, before you enter the water…safe is safe… The Fühlinger lake had a comfortable temperature for wearing your wet suit with 21degrees. Lets go (swim) to the starting line... Start…with fireworks…and in between 777 participants, somwhere was I….somwhere… After 1,9km of swim and several body contacts I could get on my bike… and after 90km bike and lots of contact with the wind, finally back on the feet again… A little bit exhausted, and don´t forget your bags and towards the run-course... …just for the finish picture, a big smile from me…finally… Conclusion: I made it, but there´s still work to do and to improve for the next contest.
