Alpen-Triathlon Schliersee - Spitzingsee 18.9.2010 Int. german
championship |
VIDEO TIP: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dhN_8wjaOas
For the end of my season, I wanted to participate at the Alp-triathlon(
about 1000 starters ) and to finish under 2:30h.
Only the weather conditions weren´t that good, I had some regrets,
because the water in the Schliersee had only 14,8degrees and the
air temperature were around 12degrees and on the Spitzingsattel
8degrees, obviously too cold for me.
Before the start, I tried to memorize the swim course, the swim
exit as well like the way to my bike.
Start of swimming at 12:00o´clock
The most beautiful swim course in the world...
The water was so cold, that I weren´t able to feel my feet anymore...
Than you go on the hardest bike course, you ever had on an olympic
triathlon. elevation profile:
Up on the Spitzingsattel, after the 4km long and constantly 10-12%
ascent, protected by the police...
Than down to Valepp, just to run the 2 rounds around the Spitzingsee…
Running course:
Totally exhausted, but also lucky and happy I reached the finish
with a time of 2:31:07h.
