My first duathlon and my first...

Season-victory (just to tell you the best thing at first)! But one after all… On Saturday the 28th of may I rode with Jan to Lorsbach, where the annual cross-duathlon took part. I´ve already been here before, but never started, I just helped my former employer with a kids race here. But this year, I wanted to compete here, and because I´m buyable, I found a sponsor in my former employer and so I started with the “Fahrrad Freund ( bike-friend) jersey over the Pirate-tri-suit. The start for the contest was at 17:00o´clock, quite a nice time for a start, and so after the the starting signal I made my way up for the first 5km run, and because I did´nt want to become last, I took the lead right from the beginning in the women´s field, and at the turning point of the running course, I was about 20m ahead of the second, but I was able to develop it, until the change for the bike… course, twice. The first 6,4km, you just ride up-hill, but than you´re being rewrded with a wonderful doen hill part. While I was sitting on my bike, I never saw another women, but I wasn´t really sad about it...:-) So, I was the first women on the second run part, you had to run again the 5km from beofre the bike part. Well, the start-finish victory, was in my hands until the end( I gotta say at this point, I think duathlon got a small advance in opposite of the triathlon, I do not loose so much time, while I´m swimming):-)). I crossed the finish line after 1:50:56 and altogether 32km in my legs, and I let me celebrate as a proud winner. At the winner ceremony, I recieved some bio-stuff, really  tasty, I´m still suffer from that. After all it was a wonderful competition, I´m sure, I´ll compete here again in 20112.
