On Mother´s Day, I started on the official measuring 10km course at the Carl-Alex-Parc in Baesweiler. This time I travelled their by bike, and the rest of my family and the supporters reached the destination by car. I gotta say thank you at this time to chiKKen, because we found the way their at once with no detour, because the announced signposting were missing…. While we had sweltry temperatures around 38degrees, 134 runners made up their way on the new and ambitious course. After a almost 1km long ascent with 90m of altitude towards the viewing platform, we had to run twice around the mountain, also hilly. Soon after the start I led the women´s race and after the first round I had a good gap towards the 2nd. Finally I reached with 2min advanced the finish line before the 2nd woman with a time of 43:56min. YES… And finally a contest, where you don´t have to wait so long for the winning ceremony, just when I put on my bike jersey again, I was announced. After the ceremony I rode home on my bike again.
