13th Knappensee-run vs. 4th marathon in Chemnitz

With their start over the 2km distance were Anna-Maria Mikwauschk (3rd place, pupil D) and Nele Skopi (4th place, pupil D), the first Pirates at the 13th Knappensee-run who first used their running-shoes. They were followed by 4 more crew-members, but they started on the 8km distance. Thorsten Just surprised all the others, because he wasn´t only the oldest of all the Pirates, even the fastest ( M50, 43:11min), followed by Kevin Hoffmann ( pupil A, 43:32min), Jörg Mikwauschk (M45-49, 43:48) and  Michael Bud ( M40-44, 49:33min). With the device “ run with your heart”, the 4th marathon of Chemnitz started a few hours later, even here where some running Pirates of the Lausitz on the start. Because of the high temperatures, was the first goal of the run, just to finish healthy. Matthias Bressel(M30-34) did the 10,5km and reached the finish almost exhausted but happy after 54:00min. Steffen Gierth (M35.39, 1:54h), Jan Möller (M40-44,1,56h), finished the half marathon distance, as well like Harald Skopi (M30-34,2,12), who just recovered of a sprained ankle.
