Alp-triathlon

The triathlon in the Alps combines since a long time, general and professional sports. They got two different and seperated assessments, the pro´s got one and the general another, and in the general assessment race, is a non-drafting race, but got more fun. The transition area, directly at the shore of the Schliersee( lake): Starting of the swimming, while standing on the beach of the lake… The water got 16degrees, quiet warm... Even while you´re swimming, you see the wonderful scenery of the Alps. After 1500m you leave the waters. Get on your bike to ride 40km, like a time-trial in a dream world. At the end of the bike race, an 4km long ascents waits for you with 12% up to the Spitzingsattel with 1127m above sea-level. . During the race, the spectators are standing really close to the triathlets.   When you´re being cheered, riding up the mountain isn´t that high and hard. When you´re at the transition area at the Spitzingsee(lake), you pull on your running shoes, and you make up your way, first down to Valepp, thann passing the Albert-Link hut and around the Spitzingsee(lake).   It is a wonderful triathlon,in a woderful scenery with a fantastic ambience at the finish iat the Spitzingsee. 909 single starter and 76 relay teams of 29 different natons were registered and 215 women were on the start.   Place overall   time   YOB   AG       Pl        Pl   swim                Pl   bike           Pl   run 40                   02:30:31   70  TM40    6      133   00:27:07        18   01:20:10   73   00:43:15 Lots of geetings, , Daniel
