Hamburg Marathon

Just a few months ago, my neighbour Uwe ask me, if I wouldn´t join him by running the marathin in Hamburg. I would be the first time for him, running a marathon and he wanted to be joined by a real Pirate, who will show him how to sail, or run. After 8weeks of preparatons and more than 800km of running, we headed towards the capitol city of all Pirates...and did it... The last preparations… Uwe´s dream was to finish under 4:00h. Butt he main thing he needed fort his was the perfect dress. So, we headed first to the evidence room to get him dressed perfectly. He looked good. Than we needed Karin and Heike and the 4h gang was ready. The girls were our supporters and to ride subway that day( riding subway wasn´t that funny that day). But at least we saw them 6times on the course, it was wonderful. We had a relaxed start and reached the half marathon mark with a time 1:57h. Normally you hit the wall at km 31, but the wall was frightened of our skulls. It was a super day and we both ended up with following times: Uwe: 3:56:57h, overall place: 4350 and 968th in age-group. Mike: 3:56:58h, overall place: 4352 and 969th  in age-group. Now there´s no way back... Just a fast picture with Descombes, Michel (FRA) Sport fair and recieving the starting package… Adina Hotel Hamburg Sunday: 9:00o´clock in the morning Soon, it will happen Only moments before the start Karin wars everywhere Junfernstieg, we´re coming… Coke delivers sugar and energy at km 37… Taking a Gel Small talk on the course… 800.000 viewers, spectators and supporters… Really cool, or???? Karin and Heike in the subway…no fun… Uwe is agonize himself… After crossing the finish line, ist time to getting dressed again... Greetings Mike
