Pirates at the CC-German Championships in Bad Salzdetfurth
Obviously I wanted to start as well at the championships. But the weather was bad, it was cold and the frozen ground was hard and…and…and…need some excuses….????
Well, after I inspected the course I decided myself not to race today and later I knew, that it was the better choice.
Just take a look at these mud on this ascent, like on the other side on the way down. When you watched the race you could see lots of riders, who got more than 20 years of bike experience who suddenly stopped on the downhill part, moved hard right and crashed into or thru the barrier tape…
Volker Somonsen had some problems with his 20kg heavy bike, without having a spare bike like his enemies, they were able to change each round onto a new and clean one…
Volker did a good job and finished on the 2nd place overall, it was the best Pirate place of the weekend…
Heiko started today without a license and fought a fierce fight in the hobby class…
I don´t know, if Jost liked the course or not, but at least he was good-looking…
Chapeau Heiko, good job…
…in between the race you had to walk a lot, just because of your safety…of course…
The guys in Bad Salzdetfurth got a pretyy bike-park, honestly we were really jealous…
Than it was time fort he old men by license…
Robby.KW looked very good... but this is not enough.
…not enough to call himself German Champion in CC….
Having said this : Congratulations to Dano, the half-Pirate for his vice-German Championships
Lots of greetings and we´ll see us next weekend in Buchholz
At the end another contribution made by Ronnywood :
