Training camp in Schleswig-Holstein with following Fördecrossing 4 weeks to go until my this year sporty height of the season, the OSTSEEMAN in Glücksburg near Flensburg. Then I had an idea, I could visit my dad in Flensburg again and maybe I could take a look at the bike/run course of the OSTSEEMAN, but the visit of my dad was the first priority… I was accommodated in a quite house and soon, even the milkman knew what you need the most in a training camp...

Well, such a TC at my dad got some advantages, a carefree package with full service.

and for in between or for coming home early...

Naturally, the main reason for this “visit” should be thought of...Bike-tours on my „Black Pearl“ with my old dad, right thru the wonderful scenery of northern Schleswig-Holstein

Runs on the OSTSEEMAN runninig course, with lakeview...

At the end of this TC, I participated the Fördecrossing, a 3km open water swimming from Danmark to Germany…from the beach of Glücksburg we were navigated to the Danmark shore and than we were allowed to swim the whole way back with wind around 3-4beaufort and in gust up to 5…
Just before the start we were strengthen with a buffet with lots of cakes, pies…

than we were navigated…

and after 3km and 41min, I had the german beach again under my feet, the time was for me the 9th place overall from 450 starters and the 6th place in my age-group 30-35, well, I´m to old, to young or just to slow…

Finally I want to say, Fördecrossing is even in his 12th time a real nice contest, which was sold out this year just after two weeks, and a visit at your dad is, at what kind of reason, everytime a good idea…

Come OSTSEEMAN come...
