After a good qualification, I went up the European Championships
in Frederica, DK. This championship was an indoor race not
an outdoor. I was supprted there by a former club member of
me and Faro Kattner, who now trains at the Olympic Training
Center in Cottbus.
The only german starter on Saturday in the boy class 10.
I stood in the pre-start, because with a lack of orientation
and problems with the danish language, I missed my pre-run,
because I stood in the wrong lane. Weel, I knew I had not
much chances to qualify for the last round of sixteen. I rode
the two races with not much effort and finished 7th in both
races, and showed not much of a someone hungry for fighting.
For the explanation: At a few international races, parents
arenīt allowed in the paddock. Riders who didnīt ride came
in the paddock, but not in the Pre-run-area. After the first
run they relaxed the rules a little bit and the supporting
riders were also allowed in the paddock to help
but to late
for me
Thereīs nothing more nice than to work on your bike. My dad
and I invested a few bucks for pimping up my bike J))))
We drove home with a lot of nice pictures and emotions. We
saw a fantastic race on Sunday. To ride with such a starting
field I need much more exercise and more effort and ambition.
Now we gonna go to an exercise camp on Sunday to learn much
more, and I will pay attention, more than before to the words
of Ludewig, the coach from the Olympic Training Center.
Until than, Nice Holidays
Yours
Mike
