When riding a race in the middle of October, it can get pretty chilly, but we never thought it would be this cold. The thermostat in our car showed 36.5°F/2,5°C. We didn't even want to get out. In addition, the announced relay had been turned into a team competition and we all had to ride at the same time - so no waiting for it to warm up...

Our team was made up of 2 Pirates and one non-Pirate that we've been trying to convert. However, this failed due to the lack of jerseys.

.We started at 10 o'clock, along a beautiful, but technically difficult, track that was topped off by two creek crossings and a nice step at the end:

Unfortunately, we had to wait for the award ceremony for so long that our third teammate had to go home already, which brought down our mood a little, since we were going to spend the rest of Sunday in Büchel together.
