Quite recently, everything went well for the both Pirates from the bavarian forest on the MTB. But only at the DOLOMITI SUPERBIKE”the hardest mountain bike race in the Dolomites” with a total of 3,525 starters out of 28 different nations, nothing went like it should be…

Jörg´s bike did noit want to work like it should do and for Renate after 4 weeks inrury lay-off and not being healed up again. She ended up her podium sub on the 12th of july. Well, on this 60,5km, 1785m altitude long course, Jörg ended up on the 51th place in his age-group with a time of 2:57h and after 14 losses of his chain. How Renate she ended up with a lot of powerful cramps and pains on the 4th place in her age-group after 3:37h. But who care´s!!! We had lot´s of fun on this weekend in the Dolomites:

But nothing helped for sure, neither the tipps of the italien license riders nor from the IronPigCadre from Berlin:

Despite all preparations…

.…and perfect starting place in the first block at temperatures around 8degrees Celcius…

…not really a good race for the injured Renate (how you can see…)

And what about Jörg??? With his fast legs and his breakdown bike...

....but at least he made it with his picture in the „Sportograf-Best-of-Galery…”

....and landed(with 14 chain breakdowns) on a good 51th in his age-group. Finally both made it to reach the finish-line…

…and the plans going on, what´s on the future race schedule (Arbermarathon, 24h Val Rendena etc,etc…)
