Hola landlubbers,
thank god it's a school day, umm, day of rest… because the first 3 of the MTB-Training Tour Days were pretty tough: on the northern side of the wild island of Gran Canaria, we left our residence, Petra Wonisch's "Villa del Monte," canary-bike.com, and rode mile after mile towards the sky, in wonderful "hiking weather."

Then came fast slopes, on which I tried to stay close to the back wheel of the German MTB-Marathon Champion, Princess "Dr. Yoni" Katrin Schwing,"

and trails, like the Cactus Trail, on which I regularly reached the limits of my cycling technique.

During the "café con leche" breaks, I was especially impressed with Dr. Yoni's cute Princess PIRATE socks.

I'm in paradise and tomorrow I'll be in the saddle again.... --
