After this year contest premier at the Tegernsee Triathlon, I started last weekend in Karlsfeld. About 1000 starters wanted to compete, and almost 500 from them over the olympic distance. All after each other we started in small starting blocks in the Karlsfelder Lake. Because of heavy rain falls on the the day before, the lake had only 17degrees.

So, on we go with swimming, so that we might get a little bit warmer. I need 26min for the swim course!

On the following bike course over 47,6km on a complete closed highway, where the triathletes had to fight a fierce fight with the wind. But I achieved an average speed of 41km/h, so I ended up after 1h 06min in the transition area again.

The weather became better with the day and when I crossed the finish line the sun was shining.

Next Saturday I start in Hamburg on the sprint triathlon.
