Servus from the member out of the South, after lots of Bike-Marathons in the last years, their were two premieres for me this weekend: The First time in the new, super-bad and real nice Pirate-Team-Clothes and for the first time inmy life, shooting !
Summer-Biathlon were on my plan: instead of skating(Winter-Biathlon) you´ve to ride your Mountain-Bike in the Summer-Biathlon and betwenn the ride-Part you`ve to shoot twice with an Air-Rifle on a real tiny, tiny target, who, when you hit them, turn black... Well, something like shooting, I only have seen on TV. Was weird, holding the first time a rifle in your hand, even when you`re still “pumping”(Breath in`n out) right in front of the Shooting Range after the last Up-Hill part. The mean thing is, when you missed the target, you earn 2 minutes Penalty, who you cannot ride in again….
Somehow, I was able to hit 4 of 10 Targets, the Bike felt real good and so I ended up on the 3rd place in my Age-Group(Women). Altogether there have benn over 200 Biker…err…Biathletes…on the start, certainly in my Age-group(35) only 12 women.

Finally you were allowed to get on the Bike… That is real pure Fun…

...even, when the pace betwenn the shootings, were very short, only 11k`s,for a typical Lady-Marathon-Cyclists: real odd, so fast and short.

Amazing, the 3rd place at a Summer-Biathlon, despite of my shooting-virginity... (what was ist? Unlucky in love, but lucky in game…?) Well, not every expressions is right…SMIRK!!)

Here after the Winner-ceremony with my old Exercise-Partner Moni Huber, who were in front on the Bike, but felt real unlucky by the shooting..

Good-Bye…Servus…C-YA next time…I gonna jump back on my Bike and`ll do a little bit more exercise for the next time…
