Mönchshof Triathlon Kulmbach - The thick Daniel in the holy land

13.06.2009, around 15o´clock. The thick Daniel sits in the beer garden, and what else, drinks beer. Nothind spezial about this, if there won´t be the official finish catering and the finish line won´t be right on the brewery premises of the official race sponsor. But in sequence… Kulmbach should be my first and last testing triathlon before the NORSEMAN. Here at my domestic Harsewinkler race, there is only wind and no mountains or hills. Contest catering? Kulmbach offers all, what makes a competition worth challenging: water temperatures under the point of measurement, nasty uphill parts on the bike course, wind, about 1000 rough edges and curves, wind again , a real fast, and later also sunny-hot running course. Long and lust straight, well, just on the run! Well yes, and this sponsor, force me directly after I crossed the finish-line with Andreas S. from the triathlon-scene-forum to drink half a liter(smaller units were not known here…) of beer to regenerate. Yea, with real beer and not such a wheat beer rubbish. After all, a real nice race, and it is worth mentioning, and a goog test for Norway. Come NORSEMAN come... Currahee! Daniel Flöttmann
