the two of us made our way to Meudelfitz/Hitzacker, to ride
in the last race of the IGAS Wendland this year. There were
two distances to choose from: 50m/80km (10 laps) or 25m/40km
(5 laps). Thomas and I decided to sleep an extra two hours
and "only" ride the 25m/40km.
We were at the starting line at 11am, ready to take on the
25m/40km with, unfortunately, only 30 other starters. After
only a quarter lap, the rest of the riders had to accept that
resistance was futile, especially against Pirates. So, Thomas
and I rode our laps alone.
On the last half of the last lap Thomas was able to pull away
from me.
Since Thomas 1st place kept the victory within the Pirate
family, I could live with coming in 2nd. Once again, we taught
the competition to fear us and we will definitely be there
next year.
See ya,
