Finally on the 21th of june, me and my Pirate friends from Hockenheim went to the 3-Country-Giro to Nauders.
It was imperativ to deal with 170km and 3700DA(Difference in Altitude). Sunday early morning about at 6:30 was the start, even the weather weren´t that bad after all. Dry and mild.

The course was leading directly to the wonderful Reschensea and than it went on to about 2800m to the Stilfserjoch. I tantalized myself on the way up, and recognized that I trained to less for this kind of race, but anyway I did it, somehow…

My team-mate Oliver rode with bravery and with a lot of power in the legs. Up on the Stilfserjoch were temperatures about 2°degrees, not much for the long way down, it went icy.
But than everything went up again,sadly, because my legs felt very week. This time it went up on 2200m to the Ofenpass

Something weren´t that nice, it was the 4k´s long street path made of unmade road, but luckily nothing went wrong. After both of long and hard Uphill passages, it went quiet well, but now the wind became our enemy, he came just came from the front, and gave us hard work. Luckily rain wasn´t that much and after 07:07 h we conquered the finish line with a smile on our face.
Our new team mate Frank, still made it under 8 hours,a super effort. So, our first Bike-Marathon this year were past, and now we´re all looking forward to face the Öztal-Bike-Marathon Regen gab es nur wenig,zu Glück. Nach 07:07Sth.überquerten wir die Ziellinie mit einem Lächeln.
