This event was advertised as a quarter Ironman. That meant a 0.8m/1,3km swim, a 37m/60km bike ride and an 8.7m/14km run. We swum in a crystal clear quarry pond. It was great, but it didn't help me any. I got out of the water after 26:30min and was on my bike 2:30min later.

It went really well for the first 24.8m/40km, but then I began losing some of my strength. 1:48h later, I was back in the changing zone.

The 59min run, including the 2nd change, was okay and I crossed the finish line after 3:15h, 10th in my age division and 52nd overall.

I won't be doing any sports for the next week, because I'm already kind of burned out. After all, the cross duathlon championship in Hamburg is coming up.
