This is Odenwald calling.

Last Sunday in Siedelsbrunn(Hessen) at the 8th Bikemax MTB Marathon, I started over the Middle Distance. Everybody who thinks 50k and only 1000DA(Difference in Altitude)(on my Clock it was 1100DA) is only something like a Birthday for children, is wrong.
It was real Up`n Down on a unlikely high amount ofSingle-Trails. Luckily, the Course was dry, besides a few Muddy holes, because when, you were in real trouble with all the roots and Rocks.
The Evening before I had real determined look.

Even the balanced Diet with Alcoholic Free Wheat Beer was fine...

At the End I finished in the Mddle of my Age-Group. During the race I met a real nice Dutch Lady, who said that there are no muntains in the Netherlands but she knows how to ride Down-Hill. You have to keep your ass in the Back as far as possible and make no use of the front break. Before I rode over the Finish-Line, we said good bye, because she did the Long-Distance…

All in one, it was a real nice trip and who likes to ride on Single-Trails, you have tom get in touch with these competition in the Odenwald. The event earns more participants. By the way, only a few 100 metres from the start and Finish-Area you can sleep for 28€ in the Hotel Maienhof. Surely, there is no Luxury, but the Inn-Keepers are real nice and friendly, and for that is the price allright. So, you were allowed to take time with the Departure until 19:00o`clock, so you were able to get a shower afterwards.

Next weekend I will start in Bad Willbach in the Black Forest at the R+H Bike Marathon.

So, now it`s real late, and the Bike is still not washed, but before I start with that, I will get me something to eat.
