while the High Society enjoys themselves on the Canary Islands,
rode we and about 977 other loonies at our domestic weather
on the Lauenberg( highest mountain in NRW) a bike-marathon
in Bruchhausen.
Where the weather was everything else but beautiful…
One reason was that we only had about 7 degrees on the course
and the other reason is, that you had to spent lots of time,
for cleaning up your bike again. The circumstances for the
race, are well…a torn chains, you were able to visit on the
cours. By the way, many thanks for all the dirt-workers for
the cleaning of the bikes. After the 10km opening lap, we
rode to the Bruchhausener Stones. When I saw the sign, I thought
about it, but a received my conclusion for that first, when
the race was over. All came together, like getting the starting
numbers in the halls of the Road and Gun Club.
Paule and I didn´t Have our best day, because of that, this
race, the last race of the NRW Bike Sport News Trophy was
for us a do-over in the overall-ranking, but this made us
lost some places...
On the short distance only Andre (Döring) was able to hoist
our colors. In this picture Paule still remained at Andre´s
rear wheel. In the beginning, I thought that I could go on
his pace, because sometimes I was in front.
Jens Martin ended up on the middle distance in his age-group
of the overall-ranking on the good 2nd place.
But after all. We had lots of fun for all this circumstances.
Now, I´m starting all over again with gaining some fat reserves
for the long and cold winter evenings.
C-ya soon…
