Ist done !!! The Ötzi 2009 is finished. And even under this bad conditions without any punctures or crashes.

Our team-mate Oliver couldn´t start this year, because he sprained his ankle shortly before the race, what a pity. Last year he had to give up the race after a mass crash. But our new Pirate Frank started and finsihed as well.

Frank rode for the first time a more than 200km and over 5000m of altitude. Respect. While he just started last year to race road bikes.

We rode the whole course together, because team spirit is a major thing to believe in.

It was like a dream, and the weather was good as well.

And you never were alone on the road, by an amount of riders of 4500 participants.

Because of shoulder work at the Kühtai, we had a kind of traffic jam and had to shove our bikes for a moment, was quite funny.

We healthy arrived in Sölden the finish after 11:28h.

But we didn´t care about the time, we just wanted to finish.

For myself, it was the 11th Ötzi, that I ´ve finished.

Normally it should be my last Ötzi, but I forgot everything about this when I crossed the finish line. I want to come back here next year again, and Frank was overhappy about finishing this race, that he wants to join me next year again at the Ötzi 2010. Eigentlich sollte es für mich der letzte sein,doch im ziel war alles vergessen und ich möchte im nächsten Jahr wieder am Start stehen. Frank,überglücklich,will auch wieder dabei sein,wenn es heisst,Ötzi 2010.
