Vegas never ceases to amaze...

There is really too much to see and do...
Everyday after the show there is a bike race (cross, street, criterium) and evenings a party in one of the in clubs. Between all this it would also be nice to get some training in.

Just off the strip you can find the best burger without any hassle at the aptly named In-n-out Burger chain.

You should never pass up the chance in Vegas to blast away with a machine gun (no legal in other states, like CA).

It was an easy decision between paying $60 to blow off some steam or a massage with happy ending. I have tried lots of weapons, so this time I decided to go a bit retro and see how the old German MP40 (9mm) full-auto felt.

As I walked up to the store, making sure not to hide my hands, I said hello to an armed employee (who keeps an eye out for and armed robbery attack). He noticed my LOOK t-shirt and asked if I was a bike racer, since he had recently started racing Triathlon. He didn't realize how lucky he was to meet an ex-pro, experienced triathlete. He was still trying to dial in his bike, so I gave him some great tips. As I was paying for my gun and ammo, he reached over the counter and slapped an extra 25er magazine in my hand with a wink. Now I had a whopping 75 shots to blow off. They offer lots of terror 'suspect' targets to choose from, but that was too silly for me, so I took the normal standard target. The MP40 was easy to maintain control of. The 25 shot magazine was empty in about 3 seconds. The Uzi would be a bit faster, but also much more difficult to control. The MP5 is my favorite full-auto so far.

see you next year,
stephen

almost forget... Pirate was also being exhibited for all the dealers at the Interbike.
