Some personell best times for the first birthday. One year ago,
at the 11th Morgenpost Dresden Marathon, ran Steffen Gierth, Jan
Möller and Harald Skopi, their first half-marathon /HM).
When they ate something together after the race, they decided
to run the one or another run and of course over several distances,
this was the beginning of the Leisure&multi-sport group and the
„ Running Pirate of the Lausitz“ were born.
And nowadays well known in the environment.
Within a year, the group grew up to 13 active athletes, between
14 and 49.
As well, 4 “ Bambini” offspring-Pirates belong to the group, some
sponsors and an own Pirate-fan club, its not worth watching it,
because of the charming girls…
Even this year, they wanted to compete at the 12th Morgenpost
Dresden Marathon and at the 25th of october they participated
with about 7000 others on it. For the first time, Kevin Hoffmann
and Torsten Just started over the 1okm distance, attended by an
older Pirate, Jörg Mikwauschik (47). All of them did a good job
and one finsihed with a new personell best time.
All the supporters were astonished, when almost an hour later
Jan Möller8$§9 and Harald Skopi(32) arrived on the home straight,
with each of them as well with a new personell best time on the
half marathon distance. Sadly, Steffen Gierth one of the founder
of the club, weren´t able to participate, because of his health,
but he supported the others as loud as he could and welcomed every
Pirate by reaching the finish-line.
The results of the Pirates:
Jörg Mikwauschk 10km (48th place/AG:M45, 00:52:58h),
Kevin Hoffmann 10km (34th place/ pupil m., 00:53:38h),
