NO, I wasn´t at the olympic games in Vancouver...smile...I was
just around the corner, here in my home-town: It was the 1st fun-biathlon
of my home-club „ Ski & Bike Deggendorf“ on saturday the 20th
of february 2010.
The event was not bad at all, there were about 91 reported and
83 rated participants, it was wwell organized, a fantastic atmosphere
and it was completed with my 3rd place overall at the ladies.
Like in Plettenberg last year, all of the first 3 of ladies above
40 were faster than the first of the ladies in above 30. As older
you get, as faster you get…or you´re just getting a smoother hand
by shooting...or it was the tolerance of spiced hot wine before
the start..??...smile J
Snug as a bug, just before the start.....
...remembering all the memories of cross country skiiing tourings
of the last winter...
...of we go, to the starting zone:
Well, my start( single starts, every minute), I almost missed
him, because I got a little bit too late out of my warming outerwear
…and of course the handling of the sticks were quite difficult.
...but finally I made it there just 8seconds before my start...smile.
But after the start, everything went well and on course, as well
as the shooting:
After the finish of the „king of Moldavia“ who raced with his
5-headed „ Team Sour Muscles Moldavia“ and travelled here to enjoy
this fun, right from his president resident, the race was over.
The event was well organized and also presentated by Werner( on
the picture with the micro)…
…quickly without further ado, everyone lent a hand to…
…return as fast as possible to the gay and wet winner ceremony
in a pub nearby.
In spite of that I finished on a podiums place, there were no
trophies, as a doener you got a certificate and something edible
( sausage and wine) mmm…delicious….but how should I catch up with
Andy with his 20 trophies??? Smile J Because on last Sunday he
won the giant slolome race...well, I should getting started for
the next season, so hangin´ tough. J
Ciao...sunny greetings to all the Pirates, all over the world
from Bavaria( at this time, famous for winter sports)
