Ahoy Pirates,

the event of the Harz Cup in Braunlage, wasn´t a good place to be for me. Firstly on the way there, I was too fast and caught by a speed camera of the police, because somehow I was too fast on an empty interstate with no cars or traffic, or even on high ways, but I won´t tell you, how fast I was… So, while still in the race, I was in some kind of speed flush, and so I did a turn too fast on loose gravel and kissed the ground. I received cuts, deep cuts on my arm, and no doctor in reach, so, I went on with pain and aching arm. When I finally was in the finish, I went to a hospital and they got me all the stones and dirt out of my arm. The course was some kind of boring. Just from the start a long and steep mountain, than a short root passage and than a long downhill passage, with a small and damp ascent, nothing special but labor.3 rounds. I lost my fun of the race after my crash and so it became a constantly back and front for me, on root passages I lost places and on the damp ascent I got catch them again. My bike, rode very well on the Race-Kings from Cont. Only on slippery passages it became tricky, maybe an effect of the too much pressure in my tubes… At the end, I finished with on the 23rd place of 70, just 16minutes behing Thomas Zühlke ( I´m getting closer J ) I f you wanna push the shit out of you, you gonna do the long distance in Schierke, another race of the Harz cup, Braunlage is like a joke, when you face it with Schierke. Thanks a lot to Markus, for the nice pictures. Just to say a word, to my “ compression sox” in Braunlage, it weren´t compression sox, just leg warmer, because as a matter of fact of self protection, because I often kissed the ground in Braunlage before, and I wanted to protect my legs and knees. It went quite good, even it was really warm that day, I´m going to do it from now on, more often. Of course I hit the ground in Buchholz as well, after a good start, I was on 3rd place and than Robert before kissed the ground and shortly after him a found a hole in the sand and made a salto over my bars, of course the whole field passed me. After a short check up of all systems, I fought my wqy back to and thru the field, it was really hard job to do, ecause their were not much space left to pass and I had to push the pedals really hard to pass them… After I fought my way to the 4th place, I was really exhausted, and so I let loose for a while, but than the 3rd place came in my sight, and so I pushed again, after that and two rounds later, I rode up to the 2nd, but no matter what I did, he had more storages left than me, and kept me on distance. Shit, who care´s, I took a podiums place, 3rd place like in the cross race, last winter, but next year, I´ll get better, hopefully. Now I´m really looking forward for the P-Way, 2nd place ( permanent subscription) against 3rd place (permanent subscription) Ubu. I´m still looking for ride from southern HH to Plettenberg, anyone got some place or space left and can give me a ride??? I would appreciate that. Greetings Grüße Jost
