At the 21st of august 2010 was the traditionally race of the Stevens
MTB Cup in Bucholz. Like always, it was a very well organized
competition, organized by the RSG Nordheide Team. Its one of my
beloved CC-races, and so I dreamed about a place under the Top
10.
The start was at 15:00o´clock.
I tried to ride with the fastest, just from the beginning, but
after one round I remarked that the spees was to fast for me.
I was almost totally exhausted and tried to catch my breath like
a steaming engine…
After the 2nd round I rode my very own speed. The guys before
me were too fast and the guys behind me too slow, so, I didn´t
any other rbiker until the finish line.
The one and only person I saw on the course was my personal supporter,
who cheered my up, round for round…
After I 1:02:25 I reached the finish and my dream came true, the
7th place overall.
There were two more Pirates on the start and successful…Robert
Flach finished on the 5th place.
and Jost Litzen, made it up the podium and reached the 3rd place.
Congratulation for that. I start to think about the compression
sox, that they really work and make miracles come true… ;-)
It was a wonderful Saturday, but too short again. Sadly, this
is the only event like this in the environment of Hamburg.
I´m looking forward for the next year.
